The British Shorthair is one of those cats that you would want to squeeze. They are the UK's #1 most pubread cat. Being calm and well-tempered, the British Shorthair is a popular choice for the media. Over all the British Shorthair is a sweet & calm breed.
Appearance
The British Shorthair is a very large and muscular cat. Having a large body means the British Shorthair has a large face. They have a massive and rounded head with large round eyes, a short muzzle, and broad cheeks
The British Shorthair comes in a variety of colors: black, blue, white, red, cream, sliver, golden, cinnamon, and fawn. They can come in solid, colourpoint, tabby, shaded, and in tortiseshell or calico varients.
Personality
British Shorthairs are very easy-going and fairly British like. They are vary sweet cats who are very loyal to their owners. However they do not like being picked up or carried.
Health
British Shorthairs are prone to obesitty. They are also prone to Hypertrophic cardiomypthy(HCM). However, the breed is fairly healthy and can live in between 14-20 years.Videos
