You have been invited to the DB Lab Hallowe'en Carve Off.  We have pumpkin
carving (we'll bring the pumpkins & carving tools) and a movie and snacks
planned.  The details are provided below:<br>

    When: Thursday, October 30, 2pm - ?<br>
    Where: the database lab<br>
    What: pumpkin carving followed by a Hallowe'en movie (Shaun of the
Dead)<br>
    RSVP: awebster@cs.ubc.ca by noon on Tuesday, October 28 if you want a
pumpkin!!<br>

As the activity is scheduled during the regular DB-talks time slot, it
should be easy for you all to make it!  Please don't forget to RSVP me as
I'd like to make sure that I buy enough pumpkins.

Please note that the "hockey night out" is still on the table for a future
social event.  I'll be sending out another e-mail soon with some other
ideas for future social events.
