The ACM has a page containing
much useful general information, as well as links to pages for its
various publications,
conferences and events,
and its large number of SIG's.
IEEE also has a page
that leads to information about its
publications,
including abstracts and tables of contents for several conferences
and journals.
If you are unable to find what you are looking for here, you may want
to consult
an alternative
HCI conference list that is maintained independently by Hans
de Graaff at the Delft University of Technology.
Human-Computer Interaction
- ACM SIGCHI
- ACM SIGCHI has a home page that provides information about the
SIGCHI conferences as well as related conferences (DIS and UIST),
publications (Interactions, TOCHI, and the SIGCHI Bulletin) and a
few other useful things. There are specific pages for
'95,
'96 and
'97.
ACM also makes the
SIGCHI Bulletin
available.
- ACM
MultiMedia
- ACM MultiMedia has a page which is currently very small, but is
certain to grow. There are specific pages for
'94,
'95,
'96 and
'97.
- ACM SIGIR
- ACM SIGIR is an umbrella for many events and activities, including
the principal SIGIR conference itself plus INET (Conference of the
Internet Society), ADL (Advances in Digital Libraries), Digital
Libraries, SDAIR (Symposium on Document Analysis and Information
Retrieval), and others. There are specific pages for the
'95,
'96 and
'97
SIGIR conferences.
- OZCHI
- OZCHI is the annual conference of the Computer Human Interaction
Special Interest Group of the Ergonomics Society of Australia.
There are specific pages for
'95 and
'96.
- Interact
- There are specific pages for
'95,
'96 and
'97.
Computer Graphics
- ACM
SIGGRAPH
- The ACM SIGGRAPH home page contains just about everything you will
ever need to know about the conference, including the
SIGGRAPH On-line Bibliography and the
SIGGRAPH library. There are dedicated pages for
'94,
'95,
'96,
'97 and
'98. There is also an
ftp site that contains
information for specific years.
- Graphics
Interface (GI)
- This site, provided by the DGP lab at the University of Toronto,
appears to be a permanent home for GI information. It currently
contains pointers to specific pages for
'96 and
'97.
-
Eurographics
- Eurographics (EG) is the European Association for Computer Graphics.
Their many activities are described in this page. There are
specific pages for
'95,
'96 and
'97,
and a list of the various
workshops
(on hardware, rendering, animation, etc.) that are held throughout
the year.
- WSCG
- The International Conference in Central Europe on Computer Graphics
and Visualization is held every year in the second week of
February. There are specific pages for
'94,
'95,
'96,
'97, and
'98
('94 was the second year of the conference).
- Western Computer Graphics Symposium (WCGS)
- The graphics researchers from the western Canadian universities
get together once a year at the Western Computer Graphics
Symposium (aka SKIGRAPH). There are (were) specific pages for
'95,
'96 and
'97.
Related Conferences
-
1995 ACM Symposium on Computational Geometry.
- SPIE (The International
Society for Optical Engineering)
- These next few conferences are only obliquely related to HCI,
and essentially not at all to computer graphics, but they reflect
the current needs of the author of this page.
