Lucia Tseng

Lucia graduated with a Bachelors of Computer Science and Biology from the University of British Columbia. Before joining the SPIN Lab, Lucia interned as an User Experience Designer at Microsoft, then as a Software Development Engineer at Amazon. Lucia is deeply passionate about creating user-centric products that deliver amazing user experiences. At the SPIN Lab, Lucia was working on improving the designs of robots' display of emotions with the goal to further enhance social interactions between people and robots. In her spare time, Lucia enjoys photography, hiking, and culinary arts.

Alicia is a Computer Science student at UBC, currently completing an NSERC USRA project in the SPIN lab. With a background in apparel research and development, Alicia is interested in building sensors that support the intersection of computing and physical interfaces.

David Marino

David (pictured left) is interested in language, design, embodiment, cognition, and multimodal communication. He is a cognitive systems student in the linguistics stream.

Benson Li is an undergraduate student studying Computer Science at UBC with a focus on UI/UX.

Currently, he works as a graphics artist for CBS Interactive and is doing directed studies under Oliver Schneider and Hasti Seifi.
