This is a place holder for information about the Ubicomp Facade Project. Part of my thesis work toward providing wide area access to ubicomp or context aware environments.

The Ubicomp Facade has been renamed to the Ubicomp Integration Framework (UIF).

The UIF provides a consistent model for ubicomp environments accessible using web services.

The system leverages semantic web technologies to describe the structure of the framework in terms of entities (people, places and things) associated services, context and events. Context sources are associated with entities in a "contextProvider" "contextConsumer" relationship.
