Difference: PythonTutorial (1 vs. 12)

META TOPICPARENT name="WebHome"
Being the Python evangelist that I am, I occasionally hold tutorials within the lab to teach people about the language. This page is to help organize the tutorials.

The next tutorial will be held some time during October 2006 before OOPSLA (Oct. 22 - 26). I am currently planning a beginner and advanced tutorial (with the advanced one open to anyone who wants to learn some cool tricks and how Python works underneath the hood).
>

The next set of tutorials have been scheduled! I will be doing the tutorials very interactively through the use of the Python interpreter. Feel free to bring your laptop with you and follow along. You can download the latest version of Python here.

If you would like to attend either tutorial, please enter your name (include email address if you are not on the SPL maling list), an 'X' in the proper column for which tutorial you would be interested in, what times you are generally available during the week, and any blackout dates you are just not available in October.

For the beginner tutorials, I will only assume that you know how to program. For the intermediate/advanced one I will assume you know enough Python to write a simple script on your own, but nothing more.
