- The different internal groups have their own drives for storing research work, usually found under the SPL directory. Gail's group (for historical reasons) is found at
/isd/se2/ (Unix) or R:\isd\se2 .
- Local copies of programs can be found from the SPL downloads page
; add your own to /cs/spl/labs/Downloads (Unix) or R:\spl\shared\Downloads (Windows); the web-page is rebuilt nightly.
- Use the self-service forms at Campus Wide Login
for your cwl id.

> > | The following are instructions for setting up CVS:
- Create a directory in which you want your CVS repository to reside.
- There is a shared space under /cs/spl/shared where you can create your own directory. The only problem is we have to get help to create the directory for us. You should send an email to help and let them know the name of the directory you want to create, the location of the directory and to ask them to set ownership of the new directory to yourself. You should also CC your supervisor so they can confirm the creation of the directory.
- Using SecureCRT after you have logged into your CS account, type the command "cvs -d $path init" where $path is the path to your repository location.
- Then you will notice that $path/CVSROOT is created. After that, your repository is set up and you can start sharing your projects.
