   * Sage: Open Source Mathematics Software (Kevin)
   * Mysql (Lin, Frank)
   * Ruby (Lin, Frank)
   * Ruby-dbi (Lin, Frank)
   * CPLEX (Frank)
   * Matlab & Matlab compiler (Frank; only strictly needed on arrow01 to compile Matlab code for running it on the rest of the cluster)
