Here are a list of travel options for going to SIGGRAPH. Please add options as you see fit. The default travel dates are Saturday, August 4th and Friday, August 10th. All values are canadian dollars unless otherwise specified.

Notes:

• Price calculated per person as 380 + (324+176)/8
• with 4 of us and bags, I would recommend 2 SUVs instead of Midsize cars. In which case LAX to SAN becomes $240 x 2, and SAN to LAX is $106 x 2. Total cost is then $466 per person.
• Alamo was chosen at random.

United (driving to Seattle, flying to LA, driving some more) $489

• Quick Shuttle from Broadway/Granville to SEA ($82.65 round trip)

Price per person is $318.80 USD (~$344 CAN) + (324+176)/8 + 82.65

Air Rempel (Cessna 172 from Langley to San Diego) $600

• approx 1000 nautical miles @ 100 knots @ $120/hr = $1200 (x2 for return)
• up to 4 people in plane if passengers light and baggage minimal

• connects YVR to LAX through Calgary and Kelowna

Southwest Airlines (www.southwest.com) starting from $360 (US) + $60 (CAD)

• Greyhound from Vancouver to Seattle (return, w/ student discount) $60 CAD
• flight: 2 x $180 (US)
