Comment: CIRS Research Assistant supervised by Sheryl Staub-French
Current Work
Combining the coding schemes from the CSCW research (artifact based) and the Liston Framework (task based). High-level goal is to isolate artifacts which are bogging down the meeting process, particularly during "Descriptive" tasks. New computer applications can then be written which improve the visualization, accessability, and integration of the needed data.
Overlapping data exists for CIRS meetings held on 01Feb06, 15Feb06, and 22Feb06, so these meeting records are the area of my current focus.
Main challenges are inconsistent time recording schemes between coding done by the two research teams.
Completed Work
Create CIRS meeting database that logs meeting dates, attendees (with cross-reference to signed consent forms), agenda items, researchers present, available video, and coding done.
Create duplicate project database using same organization and files as Buzzsaw. Not yet posted on Wiki because the compressed file is 700 MB. Will consult with Sheryl upon her return.
