These are the inorganic elements in the diet, and  although they are only needed in tiny amounts, they have  very important functions. 
However, as with the vitamins,  you will find that a sound diet with plenty of protein from  various sources, good food <tag "515647">derived</> from cereals, fruits and  vegetables, should supply adequate minerals, with no need  to take supplements.
