Brasília, Brazil’s capital city, has been called “the only true hope for the nation [of Brazil],” the “brain of all high-minded national decisions”, and “a ceremonial slum infested with Volkswagens.” We’ll discuss Brasilia’s famous architecture, its utopian city planning, and how it relates to the rest of Brazil and to its citizens.
