Abstract
Hardcore punk came up in the late 70s and early 80s, and bands have been experimenting with it and changing it for the past 30 years. I’ll be presenting a chronological selection of influential bands from founders like Black Flag, Minutemen, and Negative Approach, to more recent arrivals like Converge, Young Widows, and Fucked Up. I’ll mostly let the music itself do the talking, but by 6:00 tonight, you’ll know more about hardcore music than most people.
