Abstract
There are a lot of ways to make a good cup of coffee—and just as many paths to a failed one. I’ll try to provide an overview of the more popular brewing methods used in boutique coffee shops this side of the World, and some pointers in how to make your own coffee taste great! (Hint: it’s neither hard nor excessively fancy.)
We’ll look at the paraphernalia, techniques, and requirements of a good brew, some Vancouver spots where one can be enjoyed, and how to tell for yourself if a coffee shop knows its trade.
