How does one sum up the soul of a nation? Certainly you agree that the political class cannot be trusted with the responsibility of our collective conscience. They can hardly do justice to their own conscience! I would argue that it is upto the law of the land to keep a balance between the political will, corporate interests, and the rights of the people. With this view, adding to the recent string of politics and history oriented UDLS presentations, I would like to give you a glimpse of the soul and conscience of Indian people: The Supreme Court of India.
