Performance art is infuriatingly difficult to pin down. It defies definition, instead defining itself by what its not: it's not theatre, it's not dance, it's not music, and it's not sculpture. It's bodily, tangible, but leaves only traces. It might be poetry, or it might be bullshit. Come see some great example of performance artand maybe hear an argument for why it's not really that different from science.
