2024 has been an incredible year for gaming. And no, I'm not talking about the new Stardew Valley update. I'm going to talk about how speedrunners completed two significant challenges: fully clearing Super Mario Maker and finishing the A Button Challenge. What makes these challenges special is that they were thought to be impossible not only for humans, but for robots, too. We'll see how, with some long nights, a little computer science, and an absurd amount of dedication, humans have pushed the limits of what can be done with just two hands and a controller.
