DB Talks: Spring 2012 (January -- April)

Contact: Joyce Zhu

Spring 2012 DB-Talks : DB-Talks is a weekly meeting for people in the DMM lab and those interested in database research to discuss their current research, ideas, and papers. It is scheduled every Thursday 11:00am-12:00pm in ICICS/CS 238. We welcome everyone interested in database-related area come and join our discussions.

This term, in addition to our regular presentations of people's work, we're going to try something a bit different: we're going to talk about where the field of data management research is going in general, what are the promising directions, how it ties to industry (including startups), and then how we can hopefully bring this back into the classroom.

The title and relevant files for each talk will be published in this page a couple of days before the talk. Check back and find out what we will be discussing in the next db-talk!

There are still some slots opened and please send me emails if you are interested in presenting your research or topics relevant to database area..
