Ontario Government Client is actively seeking a  Project Manager. As a Project Manager where you have experience in all phases of project management, handling large-scale, complex projects while meeting critical timelines. Strong communication skills are essential for articulating key project information effectively and navigating political nuances. Experience in creating reports to support decision-making, coupled with analytical and problem-solving acumen, is crucial for addressing project challenges. The successful candidate will excel in building relationships, facilitating consultations, and collaborating with stakeholders across diverse environments. Note: The candidate is present on-site for three days each week.

Must-Have:

  • Knowledge of, and direct experience applying all phases of fundamental project management concepts to large-scale, complex projects.

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with political astuteness.

  • Experience in public safety radio, telecommunications, or IT infrastructure.

  • Ability to build reports supporting decision-making on project scope, schedule, and cost.

  • Project Management Skills

    • Knowledge and application of fundamental project management concepts.

    • Ability to work independently, interpreting business rules effectively.

    • Experience in creating various levels of reports and supporting meetings.

    • Competence in vendor management, contractual oversight, and risk mitigation.

    • Proficiency in industry standards and methodologies, and standard project management tools.

  • Communication and Relationship Management

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with political acumen.

    • Ability to build relationships, establish trust, and facilitate collaboration.

    • Experience in developing complete and accurate documentation.

    • Strong facilitation, interpersonal, and consultative skills.

    • Detail-oriented with strong multitasking abilities.

  • Telecommunications and Radio Network Experience

    • Demonstrated experience in public safety radio or telecommunications projects.

    • Familiarity with large and complex projects and stakeholder management in the public sector.

    • Knowledge of network design, implementation, and operations.

    • Experience in strategic and operational public sector governance models.

  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills

    • Proactive identification of risks, issues, and solutions.

    • Building reports for decision-making on project scope, schedule, and cost.

    • Accurate documentation of issues and development of mitigation strategies.

    • Exploration of opportunities for improvement across projects and teams.
