Software Developer (Intermediate)

Ontario Government Client is actively seeking a Software Developer. As a Software Developer where you have experience in Oracle, SQL, and PL/SQL, coupled with expertise in Git version control. They must excel in data migration, archiving techniques, and data modeling, while also demonstrating a keen understanding of record-keeping methodologies and data audit best practices. Familiarity with point-in-time architecture is essential to ensure data reliability and integrity. Must Haves:

• Proficiency in Git for version control

• Expertise in data migration and archiving, coupled with strategies for effective implementation

• Familiarity with data modeling techniques and UML standards

• Knowledge of record-keeping methodologies and best practices in data audit

• Experience with Point in Time Architecture, ensuring data integrity and reliability

Criteria:

• Database Analysis, Design, and Implementation Skills/Experience:

  • Extensive background in Oracle, SQL, PL/SQL, spanning over 5 years

  • Competence in utilizing Git for efficient version control

  • Hands-on experience with data migration, archiving techniques, and strategic planning

  • Proficiency in data modeling methodologies and adeptness with UML standards

  • Understanding of record-keeping techniques and adherence to data audit best practices

  • Experience with Point in Time Architecture, ensuring data reliability and accuracy

• Troubleshooting / Debugging:

  • Proven track record in troubleshooting code and rectifying database design flaws

  • Ability to identify and implement process optimization strategies

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to address complex database issues effectively

• Communication Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities

  • Collaboration with Agile teams on microservice architecture systems

  • Active participation in Scrum events to ensure alignment and progress

• Tools Knowledge

  • Up-to-date knowledge of emerging Oracle features and industry trends

  • Experience with Azure DevOps and Git for streamlined development processes

  • Proficiency in PowerDesigner, Microsoft Office 365 suite, including Teams and Visio, for comprehensive project management

• Enterprise Application Development Skills

  • Familiarity with RESTful services, HTML, Java, and object-oriented programming to facilitate seamless application development.
