Ontario Government client is actively seeking a System Testing / QA Specialist. As a System Testing / QA Specialist where you have experience in developing comprehensive test plans and strategies, including automation scripts using tools like Selenium. Technical expertise in BPM 8.6 and SOAP/Rest UI Backend testing is highly valued. Public sector experience is a plus. Key evaluation criteria include QA skills, automation testing proficiency, technical skills, defect management capabilities, and strong communication skills.

Note: The candidate is present on-site for three days each week.
Must Haves:

  • Demonstrated 5+ years of experience in all functions of system testing

  • Experience in Agile test methodology

  • Proficiency in documenting UAT artifacts and test cases in detail

  • Development of Test Cases, Strategies, and Plans

  • Ability to plan and develop Test Plans and Cases ensuring alignment with business and technical specifications

  • Execution and analysis of automation test results

  • Knowledge of testing applications in BPM 8.6 and SOAP/Rest UI Backend testing

Nice to Have:

  • Previous Public Sector Experience

Criteria:

  • QA Skills

    • Experience in Agile test methodology

    • Experience in SDLC and software QA methodologies

  • Automation Testing

    • Development and execution of automation scripts

    • Ability to use existing tools and techniques for testing/validation

    • Knowledge of Selenium and other automation tools

  • Technical Skills

    • Understanding of testing methods in an object-oriented environment

    • Proficiency in IBM Rational Functional Tester and other related tools

    • Knowledge in testing applications in BPM 8.6 and SOAP/Rest UI Backend testing

  • Defect Management

    • Experience in defect management process

    • Ability to identify, trace, isolate, and replicate problems

    • Proficiency in defect management tools like Rational Team Concert and Rational Quality Manager

  • Communication Skills

    • Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills

    • Strong verbal and written communication skills

    • Ability to work under pressure and collaborate effectively
