NSERC Collaborative Research and Development Grant

NSERC awards $625K to trans-Canada team, including MacLean, for novel human-robot research to support advanced manufacturing at General Motors Canada. Croft (UBC Mech) with MacLean and colleagues at Laval and McGill won a $625K (4 years) Collaborative Research and Development Grant from NSERC for research that will let industrial robots "out of the cage" with close, physical interactions with human workers on General Motors' manufacturing floor.
