ICVGIP Best Paper Award

UBC Computer Science Professor Dinesh K. Pai, together with former graduate students Martin Lesmana, Axel Landgren and postdoc fellow Per-Erik Forssén, received the best paper award for their paper ``Active gaze stabilization,'' at the 2014 Indian Conference on Computer Vision Graphics and Image Processing (ICVGIP '14) [acceptance rate: oral 33/350, all 91/350]. The paper shows how to build robotic eyes based on biological principles. The robot was built at UBC's Computer Science  Department.  More information here.
